Dental Cleanings
Regular dental cleanings are one of the best investments you can make in your smile. We recommend that every member of your family visit us at least twice a year for exams and cleanings with our dental hygienist. These routine visits help catch small problems before they become big ones and remove plaque and tartar buildup that brushing and flossing alone can’t reach.
Think of it as maintenance for your smile—just like changing the oil in your car keeps the engine running smoothly, regular cleanings help prevent gum disease and tooth decay before they start. Our gentle, thorough cleanings leave your teeth feeling fresh and clean, and give us the chance to monitor your oral health and address any concerns early.
Whether you’re keeping up with your regular six-month visits or it’s been a while since your last cleaning, we’re here to help you get back on track—with no judgment, just genuine care.
Gum Disease
Gum disease (periodontal disease) is an infection caused by bacteria in dental plaque. These bacteria irritate and inflame your gum tissue, and if left untreated, can gradually damage the gums and bone that support your teeth. Early signs include red, swollen gums that bleed easily when you brush. As it progresses, gums may pull away from teeth, and teeth can shift, loosen, or even be lost.
The good news? Gum disease is treatable, especially when caught early. We offer gentle scaling and root planing (deep cleaning) to remove plaque and tartar buildup from below the gum line and help your gums heal. For moderate to more advanced cases, we also use the Solea PerioGuide—an innovative laser treatment that targets bacteria and promotes healing in gum pockets. In severe cases, we’ll refer you to a trusted periodontist who specializes in advanced gum disease treatment.
Healthy gums are the foundation of a healthy smile. If you’ve noticed bleeding, swelling, or changes in your gums, we’re here to help with honest recommendations and gentle care.
Fillings
When you need a filling, we use tooth-colored composite resin that blends seamlessly with your natural teeth. Unlike old-fashioned silver amalgam fillings, these modern materials are durable, long-lasting, and virtually invisible—so your smile looks natural and healthy.
Tooth-colored fillings require less removal of healthy tooth structure, which means we preserve more of your natural tooth. They’re also incredibly versatile—we can use them to repair cavities, fix chipped or fractured teeth, or make cosmetic improvements to your smile.
Here’s where it gets even better: With our Solea laser technology, most fillings can be completed without shots, without the sound of the drill, and often without any anesthesia at all. That means no waiting for numbness to wear off, and you can get back to eating, drinking, and smiling right away. Many patients are amazed to discover their cavity is filled before they even realized we’d started.
Whether you need a small filling or want to replace old metal fillings with natural-looking alternatives, we’ll make the process as comfortable and efficient as possible—usually in just one appointment.
Crowns
A crown is like a protective cap that covers and restores a damaged tooth. We may recommend a crown if your tooth has extensive decay that can’t hold a filling, or if it’s cracked or broken and at risk of fracturing further. Crowns help restore your tooth’s strength and function, prolonging it’s life.
Modern crowns are custom-made to match the size, shape, and color of your surrounding teeth, and we offer several material options to suit your needs. All-porcelain crowns provide the most natural appearance and are ideal for front teeth. Porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns combine strength with aesthetics, making them a popular choice for back teeth that need extra durability. Gold crowns are incredibly strong, long-lasting and require less tooth removal, often preferred for molars where appearance is less of a concern.
Crowns fit snugly at the gum line to protect what remains of your natural tooth. Beyond restoring your smile’s appearance, they help keep your jaw and bite properly aligned—preventing other teeth from shifting or taking on extra stress from chewing.
Bridges
Missing teeth affect more than just your confidence—they can lead to other dental problems. When teeth are missing, remaining teeth may shift out of position. A fixed bridge is a permanent solution that literally bridges the gap where one or more teeth are missing.
A bridge consists of replacement teeth held securely in place by crowns on the adjacent healthy teeth. Bridges can be made of porcelain, porcelain-fused-to-metal or gold. Fixed bridges restore your smile’s appearance and function. You’ll be able to eat, speak, and smile confidently again—and protect your remaining teeth from shifting.
Dental Implants
Dental implants are the gold standard for replacing missing teeth. An implant consists of a small titanium post that’s surgically placed into your jawbone, where it bonds with the bone to create a strong, stable foundation—similar to a natural tooth root. Once the implant has healed and integrated with your bone, a custom crown is placed on top to complete your smile.
The result? A tooth replacement that looks, feels, and functions just like your natural teeth. You can eat, speak, and smile with complete confidence. Beyond restoring your smile, implants also help prevent the bone loss that naturally occurs when teeth are missing.
The implant process involves two parts: surgical placement and restoration. We partner with trusted oral surgeons and periodontists who specialize in the surgical placement of the implant into your jawbone. Once your implant has healed and integrated (usually a few months), you’ll return to our office where Dr. Lambert will design and place your custom crown.
We’ll guide you through every step of the process, coordinate with your surgeon, and ensure your final restoration looks beautiful and functions perfectly. If you’re considering an implant, we’ll evaluate your situation and help you understand whether you’re a good candidate and what to expect throughout the journey.
Pediatric Dental
We love caring for our youngest patients! From infancy through the teen years, we provide comprehensive dental care in a warm, family-friendly environment where kids feel safe and parents feel confident.
Every child is unique, and we tailor our approach to fit your child’s age, personality, and comfort level. We’re not just caring for teeth—we’re monitoring jaw growth and development, tracking how teeth are coming in, and watching for any issues that might need early attention. Catching potential problems early, like crowding or bite issues, means simpler solutions down the road.
Our team understands both what children need and what parents worry about. We take time to explain things in ways kids can understand, answer your questions thoroughly, and make sure everyone leaves feeling good about the visit. And with our Solea laser technology, many procedures that once required shots and anxiety can now be completed comfortably and quickly—making dental visits something your child doesn’t have to dread. We also partner with some exceptional pediatric practices if your child has special needs, is anxious beyond our ability, or had significant decay at a very young age.
Sedation
Feeling nervous about your dental visit is completely normal—and we’re here to help. Nitrous oxide sedation (often called laughing gas) is a safe, gentle way to help you feel calm and comfortable during your treatment.
Here’s how it works: You simply breathe in a mixture of nitrous oxide and oxygen through a small nose mask. Within minutes, you’ll feel relaxed and at ease—almost like you’re floating on a cloud. You’ll still be awake and able to respond, but those anxious feelings will melt away. Many patients tell us they barely remember feeling nervous at all.
The best part? The effects wear off within just a few minutes after we remove the mask, so you can drive yourself home and get back to your day without any lingering grogginess. It’s one of the safest forms of sedation available, and it can make all the difference in turning a stressful appointment into a comfortable experience.
If dental anxiety has kept you from getting the care you need, nitrous oxide might be exactly what you’re looking for.
Guided Jaw Growth & Development
Childhood is a critical window for growth and development—and catching issues early can prevent problems that might otherwise follow your child into adulthood. At Bland Family Dentistry, we help children develop healthy airways, proper breathing patterns, and well-aligned jaws from an early age.
A Gentle, Proactive Approach
The Vivos system uses soft, comfortable oral appliances worn primarily at night to gently guide jaw development during natural growth years. Unlike traditional orthodontics that focus mainly on straightening teeth, Vivos promotes proper jaw development, opens airways, and establishes healthy breathing patterns.
We combine these appliances with therapies that retrain mouth muscles, encourage nasal breathing, and eliminate habits that interfere with proper development setting the foundation for a lifetime of better breathing, better sleep, and healthier facial development.
Preventing Problems Before They Start
Early intervention can help prevent sleep disorders, breathing problems, orthodontic complications, and facial development concerns down the road. By working with your child’s natural growth, we’re investing in their long-term health and well-being.
Enjoy the presentation and if you’ve noticed any of the signs mentioned or want to ensure your child’s jaw and airway are developing properly, let’s talk.

Solea® Sleep: Relief from Snoring in Just 5 Minutes
If snoring is affecting your sleep quality—or your partner’s—we have good news. Solea Sleep is a quick, non-surgical laser treatment that can provide relief from snoring for a year or longer.
How It Works
Snoring happens when air flows past relaxed tissues in the soft palate (the muscular part of the roof of your mouth), causing them to vibrate. These tissues can become even more relaxed with age or weight gain, making snoring worse over time.
Solea Sleep uses gentle, ultra-low laser energy to tighten the collagen in your soft palate, reducing the vibrations that cause snoring. The result? Quieter nights and better sleep for everyone.
What to Expect
The entire treatment takes just 5 minutes in our office. There’s no surgery, no lengthy recovery, and little to no discomfort. You can return to your normal routine immediately after your visit—no downtime required.
Most patients experience relief that lasts a year or longer, making this a simple solution to a problem that affects roughly two-thirds of adults.
Is Solea Sleep Right for You?
If snoring is impacting your quality of life (or your relationship), let’s talk. We’ll evaluate whether Solea Sleep is a good fit for your situation and answer any questions you have about this innovative treatment.
Better sleep could be just one quick appointment away.
3D Cone Beam Imaging (CBCT)
We’re proud to offer advanced 3D imaging technology right here in our office with our Prexion Explorer Pro CBCT scanner. This state-of-the-art equipment allows us to see a complete three-dimensional view of your teeth, jaws, sinuses, airway, and surrounding structures—giving us diagnostic information that traditional 2D X-rays simply can’t provide.
What Is CBCT?
CBCT (Cone Beam Computed Tomography) creates a detailed 3D image of your head, jaws, and upper neck in a single scan. Think of it as the difference between looking at a flat photograph versus being able to walk around and examine something from every angle. This comprehensive view helps us diagnose conditions more accurately and plan treatments with greater precision.
When We Use 3D Imaging
We may recommend a CBCT scan to:
-
- Evaluate the exact size and location of anything unusual found on traditional X-rays
- Assess impacted or problematic teeth and their relationship to surrounding structures
- Monitor jaw growth and development in children and teens
- Evaluate airway concerns and breathing issues
- Examine TMJ (jaw joint) function and structure
- Detect pathology or infection that may not be visible on standard X-rays
- Assess sinus health and anatomy
The Benefits for You
Having 3D imaging available in our office means more accurate diagnoses, better treatment planning, and often fewer appointments. Instead of referring you elsewhere for advanced imaging, we can capture the detailed views we need right here and review them with you.
Safe and Comfortable
The scan takes just seconds and uses significantly less radiation than a medical CT scan—comparable to the radiation you’d receive from traditional dental X-rays. The process is quick, painless, and non-invasive. You’ll simply stand or sit still for a few moments while the scanner rotates around your head.
This technology is just one more way we’re bringing tomorrow’s dental care to you today—combining cutting-edge diagnostics with the personalized care you’ve come to expect from our practice.
iTero Digital Intraoral Scanner
Say goodbye to gooey impressions, gagging, and bad-tasting materials. Our iTero digital scanner captures incredibly precise 3D images of your teeth in minutes—no mess, no discomfort, just a small wand that takes detailed digital pictures of your mouth.
A Better Experience from Start to Finish
The iTero scanner has transformed how we create crowns, bridges, nightguards, and appliances for Vivos Guided Growth and Development. Instead of biting down on trays filled with impression material and waiting for it to set, you simply relax while we scan your teeth with a comfortable handheld device. The entire process is faster, more comfortable, and far more pleasant—especially if you’ve ever had a sensitive gag reflex.
Precision That Makes a Difference
Digital scans are significantly more accurate than traditional impressions, which means better-fitting restorations and fewer adjustments or remakes. Plus, because we send your scans digitally to the lab, we’ve eliminated shipping time—so you get your final restoration faster.
See What We See
One of the most valuable features of the iTero scanner is its ability to show you exactly what’s happening in your mouth. We can display your scan on a screen right in front of you, walking you through areas that need attention and helping you understand your treatment options. No more trying to imagine what we’re talking about—you’ll see it clearly for yourself.
Track Changes Over Time
For patients monitoring specific concerns—like jaw growth and development in children, teeth grinding and wear patterns, or gradual tooth movement—we can save your scans and compare them over time. Seeing side-by-side images of how your teeth have changed can be eye-opening and helps us catch small problems before they become bigger ones. While we primarily use this tracking for specific monitoring situations, it’s available for any patient who’d like to document and track changes in their smile.
Tomorrow’s Technology, Available Today
The iTero scanner is just one more example of how we’re bringing cutting-edge technology to our practice—alongside our Solea laser and 3D CBCT imaging—to give you the most accurate, comfortable, and efficient dental care possible.
